About Margaret

Margaret is a singer, songwriter and composer, and at the same time one of the most popular artists of the young generation. She recorded five studio albums, including two - "Add The Blonde" (2014) and "Just The Two of Us" with Matt Dusk (2015) - both went platinum. She has been awarded with many music industry awards, including MTV Europe Music Awards. The international contract signed at the beginning of her career allowed her to spread her wings under the guidance of the best professionals in the music industry. Due to the growing popularity outside of Poland, Margaret appeared in Melodifestivalen with the song "In My Cabana” reaching the finals and the first place on the iTunes sales list in Sweden. Margaret was the first Polish artist who achieved this result. Despite these achievements, she decided to make a turn in her career, which resulted in the album "Gaja Hornby" (2019) - 100% Polish-language material, showing the new face of the artist. The album was nominated for the Fryderyk award in the Pop Album of the Year category. In 2021, Margaret released the album "Maggie Vision", as a result of her fascination with hip-hop and urban music, and her need to talk about important matters. She invited many guest artists - mostly rapers. The artistic metamorphosis went hand in hand with changes in the business field. Margaret decided to break the existing contracts to create her own songwriting and producing team, and then focus on the development of activities supporting young talents, which was inspired by being a jury in The Voice Of Poland. In July 2021 Margaret released the holiday EP "Gelato", which conquered the summer parties. The single "Tak na oko" has so far been on many radio charts. Over 2022 several new singles were released, including "Cry in my Gucci" and „Niespokojne morze", which attracted a great interest from listeners and radio stations. In May 2022 Margaret became the Polish ambassador of Spotify EQUAL - an international campaign promoting and supporting women in the music industry. In September the artist was a guest at the Spotify EQUAL special event in Los Angeles, invited as one of the five ambassadors of this unique action from outside the USA. Margaret also takes up challenges in new fields of artistic activity - she recently starred in the movie "Zadra", which was in the main competition of the last Film Festival in Gdynia, (the movie hits theaters on March 9th) as well as in the audio series „Niech to usłyszą" premiered in one of the biggest Polish radios - Radio ZET. In 2023, Margaret celebrates the 10th anniversary of her career. She will release a new EP in March and her MTV Unplugged concert album in April.
