All the dreams, fantasies, interconnections, the great doubts and the fierce loves of the past, all these feelings: they are hiding in the dark until you remember them again and ask yourself the very central question: What am I feeling?

"feelings", that's the name of the debut album of the indie band DOTE. 11 songs that play with this question, from different angles - and flaunt it in the best indie pop outfit, dressed in glittering synth sounds, bright guitar licks, midtempo riffing, lively basslines. A dash of dancefloor at any rate, plus 80s borrowings. And, of course, the trademark of this band: two voices that could hardly be more different and yet mingle perfectly together.

DOTE are Jonah, Lukas, Niclas and Moritz. Six years ago they formed as a band in the north of Essen. Schoolyard friendships, singing together in the choir. On Spotify alone, the band, still without an album, already has over one million streams. This has already earned DOTE appearances at the Reeperbahn Festival, c/o Pop and Juicy Beats - as well as a nomination as "Best Newcomer" for the popNRW Award.

DOTE recorded and produced their record "feelings" together with Tom Hessler (Fotos, Der Assistent). The result is a sound that first dances around and then crosses the boundaries between indie, jazz, new wave and bossa nova in a way rarely heard from a German band. 

This already becomes clear with the first single "boy". The legendary music journalist and radio presenter Klaus Fiehe says about it: "Boy puts inner emotional abysses as flattering pulsating wave compellingly well on the track. Boy! Boy! It's terrific pop music!"
