Growing up in Iran, Asal lived in a musical household. Her mom sang, dad played the keyboard and Asal got a guitar for her 7th birthday. Asal moved to Vancouver only speaking Farsi and mostly listening to Persian music. Picking up English from school and being exposed to new music, Asal started to make original music and develop her sound. From her bedroom setup, the 20 year old infuses deep raw vocals with alternative hip-hop production. Asal finished her first North American tour supporting Artemas and gearing up to release her debut EP. She also performed on the main stage at EDC Vegas with MK promoting their new track, “She’s in The Club”. With this momentum, Asal is building her own world and pushing the boundaries of alternative music.
