Abélard

The French duo ABÉLARD is composed of two internationally recognized concert pianists: Héloïse Hervouët and Emilie Aridon-Kociolek. Graduates from the National Superior Conservatories of Music and Dance of Lyon and Paris where they were trained at the highest level as classical musicians, they are also both engaged in successful and eclectic careers in various music aesthetics such as tango, world music and metal music. 

 

Héloïse has performed in some of the most prestigious festivals around the world (in the USA, Mexico, Canada, Germany, Austria, Italy) with renowned musicians from the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. She regularly collaborates with the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra as an orchestra pianist, a chamber musician and a soloist, as well as recording for eminent record labels such as Deutsche Grammophon and Warner Classics. She teaches piano at the Académie Rainier III of Monaco. She performed with the Duo Abélard for Rammstein’s European and North American Stadium Tour in 2022.

 

Emilie has been involved in various projects such as Quinteto Respiro, Quinteto Emedea, the Carabanchel ensemble, Octetology, and alongside artists such as Minino Garay, Agnès Jaoui, Javier Estrella, Fernando Fiszbein, Benjamin Duboc, William Sabatier… Twice recognized at the Piazzolla Music Competition in 2021, she had the opportunity to perform as a soloist with the Orchestre National de Lille, the Orchestre National de Lyon, the Orchestre de Dijon-Bourgogne, and in venues such as the Auditorium in Lyon, the New Century in Lille or more recently at the Berlin Philharmonie alongside vibraphonist Lucas Dorado.
